On April 7th to 8th, 2024, Professor Bai Chen, founder and CEO of MoMed Biotech, embarked on a two-day visit to Taizhou organized by Wang Zhengduo, Director of the Taizhou Office in Hangzhou, Miao Yaochang, Deputy Director, and Luo Kai, Deputy Minister of the Academic Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Association for Science and Technology. The core objective of this visit was to explore possibilities for cooperation with local governments and pharmaceutical companies in promoting innovation and progress in the biopharmaceutical industry.

The pharmaceutical industry in Taizhou has developed over 50 years and has become a pillar industry and business card of the city. Taizhou has 67 drug manufacturers and 122 medical device companies, making it the only national export base for chemical raw materials for drugs. In 2022, the output value of the pharmaceutical industry exceeded 50.1 billion yuan, and the export growth rate was the highest in the province. The biopharmaceutical industry in Taizhou is gradually becoming an important force in driving local economic development and has also made positive contributions to global health.

The first stop was a visit to Huahai Pharmaceutical: exploring the forefront of the industry.

Professor Bai Chen and his team arrived at the Huahai Pharmaceutical Technology Industrial Park located in Jiangnan Medical Valley, Linhai City. Here, they had in-depth discussions and exchanges with Huahai Pharmaceutical Party Secretary and Executive Vice President Guo Sijia and other leaders, and gained a deeper understanding of Huahai Pharmaceutical's research and development capabilities, production processes, and market layout.

As a well-known domestic pharmaceutical company, Huahai Pharmaceutical's achievements in drug research and development and quality control are impressive. Professor Bai Chen stated that this visit not only deepened their understanding of Huahai Pharmaceutical but also provided valuable references for the future development direction of MoMed Biotech.

Second Stop: Discussion with Linhai Municipal Government

Following that, at the symposium held at the Linhai Municipal Government, Professor Baichen and his team engaged in in-depth discussions with Linhai's Deputy Mayor Yan Qijun, Deputy Director of the Municipal Government Office Xie Weirong, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Center Sun Yiming, Party Committee Member and Deputy Director of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau Zhou Tao, as well as Qian Weijie, Section Chief of the Talent Division of the Organization Department (Talent Office).

Both parties delved into topics such as strengthening cooperation in the biopharmaceutical industry and driving local economic development. Linhai municipal leaders expressed a high degree of recognition for MoMed Biotech's innovative capabilities and development potential, affirming the possibility of the company's growth within the local area.

Third stop: Hai Zheng Pharmaceutical Executive Meeting: Joining hands to explore the market

In the afternoon, the inspection team visited Hai Zheng Pharmaceutical in Jiaojiang District and had in-depth discussions with its executives and leaders from the district government. During the exchange, Professor Bai Chen, Deputy Secretary of the Jiaojiang District Committee and Deputy District Mayor Chen Jianguo, Director of the Investment Facilitation Center Wei Jianwen, Deputy Director of the Talent Office Zhang Kunlin, as well as Shen Xinghu, Party Secretary and Chairman of Hai Zheng Pharmaceutical, discussed extensively on cooperation models, market expansion, and other aspects.

As an outstanding player in the industry, Hai Zheng Pharmaceutical's rich management experience and market resources are of great reference value to MoMed Biotech. During this meeting, both parties reached multiple agreements, laying a positive foundation for future potential cooperation and win-win development.

Fourth stop: Xianju Pharmaceutical and Xianju County Leadership Meeting: Deepening Local Cooperation

On the final leg of the research tour, Professor Bai Chen visited Xianju Pharmaceutical and engaged in discussions with leaders from the 17th People's Congress Standing Committee of Xianju County, including Deputy Director Luo Jianhong, Deputy Minister of the Organization Department Xu Qiaoling, Director of the Management Committee Pan Shiye, and Section Chief of the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security Li Zaixin. Also present were experts such as Zhang Yusong, Chairman of Xianju Pharmaceutical. Both parties delved into discussions on how to leverage their respective advantages to promote the regional coordinated development of the biopharmaceutical industry.

Chairman Zhang Yusong expressed affirmation towards MoMed Biotech's technological innovation and emphasized the complementary advantages between innovative technologies and enterprises. Both parties reached a consensus on the importance of maintaining close communication in the future.
